Our Local Procurement Policy

Keeping Campaign Dollars Local

A campaign is not just about what a candidate says. It is also about the choices the campaign makes along the way.

That is why our campaign has adopted a local procurement policy. Whenever possible, we purchase the goods and services we need from businesses located in Minnesota House District 15B. When what we need is not available within the district, we look next to businesses elsewhere in southwest Minnesota.

That includes things like printing, signs, food, event supplies, apparel, photography, professional services, and other campaign needs.

We recognize that local options may sometimes cost more, take longer, or require additional coordination. We still believe it is worth making the effort.

Why It Matters

Small businesses are essential to the strength of our communities. They create jobs, support local organizations, contribute to community events, and help keep our downtowns and main streets alive.

Campaigns spend a significant amount of money during an election. We believe those dollars should support the same communities Keith is running to represent.

Buying locally helps:

  • Keep more money circulating in our regional economy

  • Support local jobs and entrepreneurs

  • Build relationships with businesses across the district

  • Give our campaign a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing local employers

This policy is part of a broader commitment to listen to local businesses and make sure rural communities receive a fair return on the economic activity they generate.

Are You a Local Vendor?

We want to hear from businesses throughout District 15B and southwest Minnesota.

If your business provides products or services that may be useful to the campaign, please contact us and tell us what you offer. We cannot promise that every vendor will receive campaign business, but we are committed to considering local options first.

This is one small way our campaign can practice what Keith believes: rural Minnesota is worth investing in, and strong communities begin by supporting the people and businesses already doing the work here.
